USAGRADUATE.COM’S PRIVACY POLICY
USAGraduate.com (Engage, Inform, Inspire, Inc.) is an online student competition open to students from Grades 6 to 12. USAGraduate.com is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and in full compliance with all relevant privacy legislation and especially implements the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
Content
- All content is controlled by USAGraduate.com
- All content is reviewed for ethical standards and is age appropriate.
- The Quiz is based on the topics and careers of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
- The site will promote the names of companies and organizations who are supporting or partnering in this initiative. USAGraduate.com will not accept support or partnership from any organization, which is not appropriate to the topic of STEM or age appropriate.
- There are no facilities for students or other users to post any materials or information on this website, other than provide comments and feedback to USAGraduate.com.
- All questions are in multiple choice format and no other comments or opinions are requested or allowed.
- Everyone needs to be cautious online. Do not give out your full name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number or any other personal information that would enable someone to contact you either online or offline, without first asking your parent or guardian for permission. For those under 13 years old, we may request your name and e-mail address along with your parents' e-mail address. We do this so that we can contact your parents to let them know that you have communicated with us, and that we have collected this information from you.
Personal Information
- Students are required to register as members in order to take part in the competition.
- The following personal information is required for registration: Name, User Name, Password, Date of Birth, Region and email address. In the case of students under 13 years, the primary information is the same details for their teacher or parent/guardian, with a username and password for the student. We request optional additional information on Gender and Ethinic Group to assist with the overall assessment of the profile of student participants. There is no other personal information required at any other time or place on the website.
- USAGraduate.com undertakes that this information will be used solely and exclusively for the purposes of the competition and will not be used or shared with any third parties.
- Unless we indicate otherwise and obtain prior parental consent, personally identifiable information collected from children under the age of 13 will be used solely by USAGraduate.com, for internal purposes and will not be sold or otherwise transferred to third parties. We may hold on this site no more than a child's first and last name, school and/or grade to advise that they are winners.
- The email address will be used solely for the purposes of communicating username and password data, competition dates and notifying winners email addresses will not be posted on the website.
- The region, gender and ethnic information will be used exclusively to provide summary information on school participation.
- The age is required to check the application of COPPA rules.
- A link to this privacy statement is placed on the registration page.
- An alert message is placed on the registration page notifying students under thirteen (13) years that parental consent is required.
- We require verifiable parental consent before collecting or using personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
- A parent can request to see full details of personal information held on their child by requesting this via Contact Form and providing parent/guardian Name, Address, telephone number and/or email address and child’s name, region and grade.

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION AND THE USE OF COOKIE TECHNOLOGY

We collect non-personally identifiable information through the use of a software technology called "cookies," and through our users’ voluntary submissions to us and/or upon our request.
